For some strange reason, Bill Darwin went from, who seemed a nice guy to what can only be described as an absolute hypocritical man who thinks he’s owed something from football
Bill Darwin and myself met at Kinmel Bay in regards myself hiring the local sports hall. We spoke for 2 hours and I stated clearly that it was just to expand my buisness as I had a coach who lived right next door to the sports centre.
It was for fun football and Kids to enjoy the game, as I was Accredited with the Faw and had all the necessary qualifications/Insurance and Crbs ( Dbs nowadays)
In that conversation I stated that any players who wanted to play for a club would be asked / encouraged to join some of the many local clubs in the area. I would work with rather than against any one or persons to get more children falling in love with Football.
I thought no problem at all, we knew of each other and it was what I believed a good meeting.
Bill never got back to me after a long time of asking. Disappointed yes
The centre was not Fully part of Conwy County Borough Council and was run by a committee or Bill and his sister etc. I had asked and then complained to the council that other coaching companies had used the centre, yet I was told I couldn’t. This was Bill’s decision
In the complaint I found out that Companies from England were using the centre and their CRB ( Dbs) were not recognised in Wales, this was very serious as no one checked on who was coaching or what standards there were. Any welfare issue at that time would of caused national exposure. Even the North Wales Coast Fa didn’t know this, then again they didn’t know anything, which I later proved.
As you guessed, I made a huge complaint, being as though I had all the criteria and wasn’t allowed to run any sessions. It was Discrimination of the highest level. Imagine going to work and your colleagues are allowed to work indoors and you cannot, or they finish early and you cannot.
Bill Darwin was also part of The North Wales Coast Fa who were the main bullying antagonist group of individuals who disliked me for what ever reasons.
Bill Darwin attended as part of the North Wales Coast Fa a meeting with the Faw where I won my case against both the Colwyn and Aberconwy Junior Football League and The North Wales Coast Fa for their failures and incompetence
